Nordstrom's Gift Expert started as a holiday character. Kyle MacLachlan played it with just enough deadpan charm that Nordstrom brought him back for two more rounds: a Mother's Day spot and a Father's Day spot, each cut into a couple of alternate versions. Nora led the edit on all four. MacLachlan turned out to be the kind of performer who makes an editor's job easy, hitting the same beat four different ways without ever repeating himself.
